Relationship Coffee
A relationship coffee differs from the traditional green coffee contract. It is based on a direct connection between the roaster and the supplier. The price mechanism for a relationship coffee is not tied to the world market, but is solely based on what it costs the supplier to produce exceptional coffee. A relationship coffee is concerned with sustaining the economic viability of the farm through pricing that reflects the true excellence and value of the coffee.
Cafe Femenino
Out of Peru comes a story of strength, unity, and hope. A new specialty coffee, Cafe Femenino, has evolved. It is changing the role of women in developing nations and remote rural coffee communities. Many of these women have no rights, are abandoned, are abused, and are alone with children and no income. Cafe Femenino works to provide a hopeful future for women and children in the poverty-stricken areas of our world.
Quality Assurance
Coffee acquires its unique taste characteristics from its geography, soil, water, air, and flora. As with wine, the taste of coffee depends on the quality of the fruit, and the way that fruit is transformed into a beverage. At St. City we source only 100% Arabica coffees. The best coffee beans produce the best cup.
